Browser safeguard safe?

when trying to download the latest updates for CrapCleaner it automatically tries to download Browser safeguard, what should I do?

Not for me it doesn't so it seems you may have picked up Browser Safeguard from somewhere else and it is impacting links.

Failing that see if you are able to download and run MalwareBytes and use that to remove it0 -
Thanks, I have run malwarebytes and 7 items were detected - thing is I ran a malwarebytes scan earlier this morning and only 1 issue detected and fixed which would suggest to me that it was my attempt to upload the latest crapcleaner which allowed the Browser safeguard access to my PC0

You need to be very careful where you download stuff from. Perfectly legitimate products can get bundled with crapware installers and promoted on some websites - often beating the genuine product download in search results. You sometimes get the option not to install the crapware but not always. I've found I've accidentally installed crapware myself a few times despite trying to be careful.0
