Repeat tickets! Can they do that?

I have a residents permit but in a rush last week I parked in a bay that LOOKED like residents parking but annoyingly had a small sign above it saying "business resident permit holders". Yesterday morning i found THREE tickets - the warden had obviously returned daily and because I take the tube to work I hadn't had any reason to go to check my car. So annoying. Can they keep issuing tickets daily like that? Do I have to pay three times now?!

You don't have to pay at all. What company?

We need to know who issued the tickets - thanks

It is a Resident's Parking Permit, ergo Local Authority issued.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Nice use of ergo! Yes you're right. I was stupid and didn't check thoroughly because I'm so used to having a residents permit. My question really rates to their ability to return daily and issue a new ticket. I guess on the face of it I can't see why they would be able to but it's pretty gutting to have come back to three just piling up up my windscreen wipers I'm sure they make the signage deliberately confusing....

So yes it's a local authority issued residents permit (obvs) and parking tickets were issued by local authority wardens. Clearly rather too good at their job...

I would advise posting this on https://www.pepipoo.com as well

Before we go too much further were these tickets issued on a LA housing estate in a London Borough specifically City of Westminster, Islington, Haringey, Wandsworth, Brent, Greenwich or Kensington & Chelsea?
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

Ah yes your research into this, so please answer this question if you don't mind OP

Unfortunately I have to be elsewhere for the day and won't be available to follow this up for 24 hours. If the OP's tickets were from an estate in one of the above boroughs then she should double check that the tickets (which will probably bear the borough logo) weren't actually issued by Wing Parking Ltd (their name will be tucked away under details of how to pay). Wing Parking Ltd's notices are contractual breach tickets not LA Penalty Charge Notices issued under the provisions of the Traffic Management Act 2004. Their appeals processes can be convoluted.

It would probably help the OP (assuming council) to get pics of the specific sign as councils have been known to use confusing versions which are not approved.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
