    Just as a matter of interest. If there is such a delay in assessing for PIP, do DLA recipients still get their benefit?
    And if they subsequently are found not to be entitled to it - will they pay it back?
    Seems the whole thing is a shambles to me.

    As long as you send the forms back in time, your DLA would continue until a decision is made. You wouldn't have to pay back DLA if PIP is disallowed.
