I probably only manage to comp from the front page because I don't enter for certain things (DVDs / CDs / tickets for the most part I avoid), so don't beat yourself up too much VP, if you don't manage to stop end-dating ;)

I've just gone through finishing up comps ending 31/03.

    50 pages!

I'm going to do the April ones asap...

    gah!
I was an end dater, currently up to date but going back to end dater as I've got it in my head that I win more if I comp by end date.

Keep April 30th up to date at least.

With a properly run competition the time you enter makes no difference to the chances of you winning although you may think you win more by end dating as WEMs etc will generally arrive sooner after you have entered than they do when you enter comps as they are posted.

aw thanks, I know I sound like a crack pot and is probably illogical thinking.... but its a bit like someone wearing lucky pants I think lol

I'm going to try and stick with being up to date :)

I end-date comp now as I was finding it harder & harder to keep up with as-posted due to increase in comps, lots of RL fun and pressure at work.

Quite often I simply end up not doing certain days if I haven't had chance and this month, for example, I'm not even going to start on EOM as I know I won't get through them and am knackered / need an early night to catch up that hour!!

When I used to comp as posted, I used to dread 1st month as new comps flooded the board!

    Some very good points..
I always consider the start of the month the easiest comping wise, as there arent too many ending say 1st - 6th of each month, so i relax then.
I have never looked at 'what comes on the boards' on the 1st of each month (so still may avoid doing that;)
    Im just STILL doing 31/03's:eek:
(i chose 292 comps to do last night, so far done 184!! (inc any extra comps i see on each site when im entering:eek:))

DEFINATELY GOING TO GET EOM COMPS DONE EARLIER FROM NOW ON!
Still comping, after 2 heart attacks 4th feb & 6th feb, and a stent put in.. 45 years old only:eek:

DONE! Not bad its only 00.35am...
Id say out of 292 comps i probably entered 240, soem of which i had
done earlier in month when i came to them via a different comp.

Im very happy with my work and if i win just 1 of those I'll be chuffing delighted!!

Now its time to alter my comping strategy by not having this last minute rush - although ive have enjoyed it!!

Good luck everyone for the results of march!

Thanks but unfortunately thats not a true reflection on my comps entered ratio apart from the last week of the month.
Usually i enter nowadays no more than 100 a day, saturdays maybe 30:(
Gonna have a day off tonight.......... (well might do 1 or 2 :rotfl:)

Bringing this to the front again as competitions ending 30/04 currently run from pages 224 to 265 and we're only on 05/04.
Dear Lord, I am calling upon you today for your divine guidance and help. I am in crisis and need a supporting hand to keep me on the right and just path. My mind is troubled but I will strive to keep it set on you, as your infinite wisdom will show me the way to a just and right resolution. Amen.
