Well I sent the letter recorded on the 8th to UKPC, and have just received the DRP impending court letter blah blah we will pass your details on to the creditors solicitor blah blah unless you pay us a fortune.
Should i send another letter demanding a POPLA code again? or should I just ignore them now, as I have asked for one and they have ignored my request?0 -

Same as my reply to this poster who is now getting the same letters:

You won't get a POPLA code, you'll get junk mail. The point of writing was to state your case once, and you have done that. See the reply I wrote in the link, post #4. You could complain to the landowner but if you didn't use the shops on site then your case for complaint is perhaps less. You do realise that UKPC don't do court, have NO evidence of anyone 'leaving the site' and that if anyone pays a fake PCN - or takes debt collector letters seriously - after checking with a forum like this, they would need their head examining?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks everyone for the advice.
Without these forums, this evil company would probably have got my money.
Bar a dramatic change in my British citizen rights, there is no way UKPC could get anywhere in a court of law. So i am not worried0 -
UPDATE:
Smiley faces at the ready. UKPC have sent me a charge cancellation letter!!!!
Amazing what a well worded letter can do.
They even apologised for any inconvenience.
Thanks everyone for the amazing advice, I wasn't expecting this.

Congratulations Gourmetguy - what an excellent outcome :-).0

Glad this is sorted for you gourmetguy. And, in the process, a 'sorry for any inconvenience'. You've obviously missed out on the usual 'as a gesture of goodwill' cr*p. :rotfl:
Good on you fella! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
