I've done lots of cross stitch pictures and samplers and never washed one, why would you want too. I couldn't afford the well known brand of threads, never had a problem with the bargain price ones.

I've always framed my own pictures. Pin the picture out evenly onto a ironing board so it's square and iron with a damp (not wet) cloth on the wrong side. Back it with a piece of iron on interfacing. Buy yourself a frame from somewhere like Wilco's or a charity shop, get a mount if you want, again from Wilco's. Attach the picture to the board at the back of the frame with a bit of double sided sticky tape, put in frame, and job's done.

I always buy my threads and packs from charity shops as they seem to sell them really cheaply round here(North Yokrshire) I ofte just by them for the threads and have had some really good deals!!

    Have fun!
