Money in India

I am currently a student and am going to be travelling to India for 2 months, I am looking into how to get Indian Rupee's when I am abroad.

My debit card, a NatWest debit card, is a card from hell for use abroad. My NatWest credit card isn't as bad but still terrible for cash withdrawals.

As I am a student I am unable to get a Halifax clarity credit card which I think would be my first choice.

I am wondering about getting an ICICI prepay card. As this card is free to load and reload, and free for use at an ICICI bank, and only charges 25p for cash withdrawals at a different bank.

I wondered if anyone has used this card? Or could give me any advice on how I should get travel money for use in India.

Thank you!
