The third annual Podcast Awards have kicked off for 2007.

This contest recognises the best podcasts, as voted by listeners, in 23 different categories.

The first phase is a call for nominations. You can nominate your favourite podcast in each category.

If you like Martin's work, vote now for "Martin's Money Mutterings" video and audio podcast. Here's how...

1. Go to PodcastAwards.com, click on the Nominate Now link and go to the Business box
2. In the Podcast Name field, type: Martin's Money Mutterings
3. In the Podcast URL field, type: http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=161039194
4. Scroll down the page and complete the ‘Your Details’ section
5. Click ‘Submit’

You have until 09:59 GMT on July 16 to submit your nominations. Make sure you read and understand the rules.

Following the close of nominations, a 7-10 day review period takes place where every nominated podcast is reviewed by the contest organisers. Once the short list of nominations has been decided, voting begins.

The organisers will award all prizes at the third annual Podcast and New Media Expo in September.
