Npower epic fail

Another day another Npower failure, this time on my own account. To cut a long story short I got no response to a complaint from Npower (other than generic letters) so I went through the Ombudsmen who ultimately found in my favor
Whilst this has been going on there have been a steady stream of reminders and threatening letters from various debt collection agencies. Each time I have contacted them and told them to go away due to the ongoing complaint. Most have scuttled off with their tail between their legs but one isn't taking no for an answer.
The situation is thus :-
with the goodwill gesture I have accepted Npower will owe me money
Npower keep sending the 'debt' on to other debt collection companies when it is passed back to them
I am now contemplating a separate complaint on the grounds that they should not be pursuing a debt which is disputed, especially when they have also accepted the Ombudsmen's decision.
Has anybody else come across a similar situation?
The process is probably automated but it is most annoying. I believe debt collection companies are supposed to stop pursuing if they are made aware that a debt is in dispute, but isn't Npower also at fault for continual farming it out when they KNOW the situation?
Re Npower rep don't be freaked out my name I am an ex employee so I feel your pain

This lot are a DISGRACE. My accout is sitting at £160 in credit. I put meter reads through every month. My last bill was November 2013. Normally when you input meter reads, a bill is generated within 2 days. I called them on Thursday and waited in a queue for 59 minutes!
When I asked why the shocking delay, the girl told me it was because people are changing supplier and that is why they are busy. This at 5pm on a Thursday evening.
No way is this to do with people changing supplier. I asked for a £5 credit to cover the wait. She said she could not do this.
Anyone thinking about moving to them.....PLEASE DO NOT
Nice staff on the helpline but awful wait times on telephone.0 -
If they havent billed you then the credit wont be accurate. However there are many cases on here where they cannot send a bill, in some cases for up to a year.
Is it best just to search the forum for details of these harassment cases? Would this be raised against the supplier, the dca or both?0 -

Hi undercover_peon
Thanks for your post. That doesn't sound good
We can look into this issue for you if you can drop us an email to the email address showing on our profile page.
MCGONIS - Thanks for the comments. If you've not received a bill since November 2013 the credit you refer to is unlikely to be a genuine credit. We did previously produce a bill when you submitted reads online. This was a technical issue with our billing system which we've recently fixed following complaints from customers. Unfortunately our call waiting times have been high recently which has been caused by a high volume of calls we've been receiving each day. Feel free to send me an email if there's anything I can help with.
Thanks,
