cant paint on silicon sealant ...

Hi all,
Recently emulsioned my bathroom & ensuite, really pleased with the results apart from the areas that had been silicon sealed ( by previous owner )
In the bathroom, where the bath panel meets the wall has been sealed with white silicon, I am using a dark coloured emulsion and it will not cover properly over the silicon, so looks a bit crappo.
Similarly in the ensuite, where the under sink cupboard meets wall.
Im wondering if its possible to buy some sort of self-fixing sealing strip that can be painted ok ?
The paint colour is Dulux Urban Obsession which is a rich grey shade, so its a bad clash with the silicon bits.
Thanks for listening

If it's not an area that will be splashed a lot, strip out the silicone, and replace with acrylic paintable sealant. Or tile the area, and paint up to the tile edging.0

Or use a dark sealant?Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

You need to remove the silicon and replace it with a waterproof acrylic sealant. This is waterproof and over-paintable.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0
