Help...I've just retired on my state pension and need to claim everything I'm entitled to.
Where do I start? Which one first? Pension credit? council tax? housing benefit?
The c/tax and h/ben app form asks about pension credit awards so should I do that first, or do all together?? or what?
Any advice please;);)

you apply for them all at the same time. the state pension with pension credit qualifies you for the maximum hb and ctb. if you currently have the state pension coming in and dont have any other income a private pension, a partner working, savings over 10k etc you will qualify for pension credit. just give the pension service a ring.scrumpyjax wrote: »Help...I've just retired on my state pension and need to claim everything I'm entitled to.

yes a bit odd. you can become a parent at retirement age but then again why would they need to arrange childcare if they are retired.0
