Help - I need a very specific letterbox!

My nightmare of a dog has damaged the internal flap and brushes of the letterbox of our rented home. No problem, I'll just replace it.

But it turns out that letter boxes are different sizes, and none of the ones I can find are the same size as mine!

The door is UPVC, and the letter box is one of those gold effect ones with a black surround. The overall size is 292mm x 75mm.

I not only need this apparently non-existent size, but also one that looks the same as there's a close-up of it in the inventory thanks to a lovely crack on the door just underneath.

I'm not sure what help I'm asking for, but any suggestions would be gratefully received!

I don't know if it's the same for upvc doors as my current door is the original wooden one. When I recently decided to change the letter box I was told that the way the measurements should be taken was from centre of screw hole/fixing point & that would decree what size I needed.

Anyway, just did a quick google search & this page here might help you. http://www.handlesandhinges.co.uk/how-to-measure-your-upvc-letterbox/
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

Don't get too hung up about it being exactly same. Provided it's same material and colour then any changes you made would have no effect.

Thanks both, and sorry for the late reply. Been internet free all weekend!

I've managed to track a similar one down online, so fingers crossed it turns up! Then I'll be back to ask how to fit it :D
