should i contact vendors solicitors?

Currently i have been talking directly to my solicitors and when i have been chasing the vendors solicitors i have been going through the estate agent.

I need things to move ASAP, is it the done thing to help with the productivity to calling the vendors solicitors straight?
(im waiting for them to answer a query)

It is not the done thing. Most solicitors would direct you straight back to your own solicitor. :o

Just give the EA a kick on a regular basis. If you can be annoying enough they will push the sale through just to see the back of you!

thats what i thought. and yes im being very annoying to the Estate agent...she has even basically told me so :).
thought i would try and cut out the middle man.
    thanks anyway
  • I don't blame you for thinking of it though, I would want to be chasing the "other sides" solicitors if they were being too slow!

Let the EA find out just how annoying you can be ;)

You can always ask your solicitors to speak to the other side.

That's what I did recently when I felt the buyers solicitors were fobbing the EA off as I felt they were more likely to be honest with another solicitor (professional courtesy etc)

OP remember the EA doesn't get paid until completion and they work on commission.

As they want their money too I wouldn't worry about them harassing both sides solicitors.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)
