Help! car radio silent!

I've got a Sony radio-cassette player in my Mazda Demio, all was fine until this morning when I realised that no sound coming from speakers! The tape goes round and the display indicates that the radio is tuned in. Is this is a loose wire (nothing from either speaker)? Can I fix it? Or is it time to fork out lots of dough to watch someone else fix it in 2 minutes? (and who?)
any advice gratefully received.

Either the amp in the stereo has gone faulty which means a new stereo or maybe the speaker connector has come loose at the back of the stereo. As the speakers all connect via one socket, if it comes loose, all the speakers will stop.
You will need to remove the unit to check this though. The basic jist is that if all the connectors are connected, then assume its the stereo.
Might be a silly thing but check that you havent put it into Mute/ATT mode.If you found my comment helpful, please click the 'Thanks' button below :T0
