Costco.co.uk useless!

Hi Folks,

Always been very happy with Coscto until now.

I ordered a Fridge freezer from Costco.co.uk on 11th March the price included delivery and installation. It was delivered on the 20th March.

The technicians said they couldn't install the fridge when they brought it as the two pipes were a slightly different gauge. They took my old appliance away.

I switched the fridge on after waiting for gas to settle. Fridge made a lot of noise.

8 hours after plugging in it was showing no sign of cooling in either the fridge or freezer section.

Phoned Costco. They said I needed to leave door shut, not to open it until 8:30pm on Friday (this was whirlpools advice apparently) and it would cool.

Phoned Whirlpool. They said Fridge will cool within an hour of plugging in. They told me to press "fast freeze" button. At this point fridge statred banging alarmingly. Whirlpool lady heard this and said "No, turn it off! Thats not right!" They said they could send a technician next week!

Phoned Costco back and said Fridge was faulty and they would have to collect it as I do not feel happy with the brand and don't want a brand new fridge to be repaired and I don't want another (especially if technicians are so busy-says a lot imo) I was told I would be contacted on tuesday (25th March)

Tuesday-no call. Got husband to phone Costco -said Wednesday someone would call

Wednesday- no call. Phoned Costco at 3pm, said someone would call me.

Thursday- no call. Phoned Costco at 3pm. Asked for a manager at Costco. Manager said he would 'escalate' this. Someone would call me today (or worst case scenario, tomorrow).

Friday- quelle surprise, nothing.

It has now been a week where I have a non-working fridge and freezer and I am having to keep going to the shops to get fresh stuff daily. I don't have money to buy another until Costco have refunded me, which they won't do until they have received the appliance back.

I am going CRAYZEEEE!!!!!:mad:
