  • It is now Asparagus :D

    Tip 1-
    is SNOWBALL, SNOWBALL, SNOWBALL.
This helped me so much at the beginning. It kept me on track and allowed me to channel the funds i had, effectively.

    Tip 2-
change your shopping habits. We now do a shop at Aldi then onto Asda and keep to a strict meal plan every week, write lists and only buy what we need.
I remember seeing a few posts where some people were cutting their shopping bill for a family of 4 to something like £60pw
We cut back from spending £150 ish a week to setting a budget we just couldn't stick to! We now set aside £100pw and stick to it. This suits us and is more realistic.

    Tip 3-
Look at your lifestyle and cut out all the un-necessary expenditure. For us it was the gym and Sky. We bought a Humax box and cancelled our Sky subscription saving £36pm :T Also we paid our BT line rental up front for the year and saved on this too :T

The great tips on this forum are amazing and i truly couldn't have done this without stumbling across the site nearly 2 years ago. :money:

I am most looking forward to 'living' again as this has been put on hold for sooooooo long :D First thing? A haircut which i have been promising myself since around the 10k mark :rotfl:

YOU can clear a seemingly insurmountable debt if you put your mind to it. I was always of the strong opinion that we spent it so we will pay it back. Every penny. The hard way £1 at a time. I remember our first snowball DFD was Aug 2016  at which point i got a bit downhearted about it all :( but here we are now and i am .....
