Is it necessary to have a master bathroom?

I'd rather remove one or both en suite bathrooms than the main one, and use the space for something more useful.Solar install June 2022, Bath

Basically my architect has proposed a master bathroom of the size 3.15m x 2.13m. This is not huge by any standard, but we've given more room to other room layouts as a result. A correction to my previous comments - all rooms will have either a walk in shower, the master bedroom will have both a shower and tub and there is a smaller single loft bathroom in the loft. A smaller 2nd floor loft bathroom with a sloping roof will be available with a tub.
We never use the bath for baths anyway, its only ever used to take a shower. We are now thinking we will use the main bathroom for a nursery instead. We could always leave the piping etc underneath so that any new owner could easily turn it into a bathroom?Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0 -
I should also add that I have one 15 month old baby and plan to have more children.Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0

don't you need the bath to bathe your 15 month old? Couldn't have managed without ours when mine were babies/toddlers0

I've just received my draft house plans from my architect and he seems to think it is a good idea to put in a laundry section in my main bathroom upstairs (if we keep it). I've never seen this in houses before but he says it is more convenient and in line with large houses.
Does anyone else have this and is it a good idea? I would have thought the noise and vibration from the machines would be bad and furthermore carrying the washing downstairs to hang outside would be annoying / using a tumble dryer would create more noise and heat.
It may be more convenient to have closer to the rooms but the design of the house does not currently allow for a utility room.Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0
