    Hi everyone,

Judi, I sympathise. My sis-in-law has looked after her GD since she was a year old, four days a week. It's better now that she is at school but there is a new baby on the way so it will all happen again and sis-in-law is nearly 70. In a way it's been good for me because I have aid to both my two that I won't do the same thing and luckily they are appalled at the way she is taken for granted.

TTFTM, I hope the feedback session goes ok and HH, they are a joke!

DH is working from home today, I've been swimming and I'm about to run round the house because DD and bf are coming for the weekend. Kedgeree for dinner I think, it's quick and easy and I can do it whenever they turn up.

    Have a good day.
  • Morning all:D
Thanks for birthday wishes on Weds:A, I had a lovely day with DH and the two little peeps. Cake and candles, gifts, meal out, snuggles and cuddles and a day filled with love and fun.

So what's going on with me? Well I have a meeting on Tues with school, LEA, Ed psych and various other professionals to see if we can persuade LEA to give IR place .....school are fully behind me. If it fails then its definitely tribunal time and huge expense
I will be telling LEA in no uncertain terms that I will provide massive amounts of independent reports and evidence no matter what cost....and that I will win tribunal.
Mrs milks has been slowly taught to sleep in her cot at night and is getting the hang of it....I sat and watched Greys Anatomy the other night downstairs for the first time in a year lol. She is in cot now having daytime nap:T
It's her birthday tomorrow and can't believe a year has passed since the drama of her birth and me ending up in ITU etc.
I'm on a sugar detox at the moment and still doing Paleo.
Noah having CBT with CAMHS so will see how that goes....still massive mood swings and anger and am dreading the hols as its like walking on egg shells:o

    Nmlc how awful:(
Hester.....my place were the same, my face didn't fit and couldn't do anything right.

Well best go and get kitchen fettled while mrs milky sleeps:rotfl:

JackieO I hope your son-in-law gets on ok with his op. I can sympathise; I have a bad case of "white coat syndrome" myself, and am terrified of all medical bods . Not a good way to be when you have a chronic illness, but hey ho!

nmlc how awful; it truly brings it home when it's someone you know.:(

Hester I'm puzzled as to why a baby pic would upset someone?

Camelot stanley knife blades left around are totally out of order - I'd be spitting neutrinos if someone did that in my house; not only do I have other peoples' dogs staying here, but I don't wear any footwear at home. Deffo complain, because they could well do the same at someone's house where there are pets or children - or, indeed, barefoot adults!
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Would she listen to audio books on CD? Maybe autobiogs or a Catherine Cookson type-saga?

    Afternoon all,

Lovely and sunny here today, 10c hoping it will last for a few days, cheers me up no end. Been out for lunch as neither of us bothered to cook, still under weather so taking it easy as much as possible.

Judi, as I worked full time when grandchildren were born, there was no question of being a carer, when I retired I collected both boys from school for a time, but it was at my convenience only. I still collect DGS2 a couple of days a week, again at my convenience. I would have been hopping mad if it was assumed that I would take care of a small baby for 18 hours a week.......I know that you have sorted it out but jut wanted to put in my tuppence worth...not sure if I am an unnatural mother/grandmother or not, but it works for me.

Want to finish a baby jacket to go with blanket I finished the other day can then parcel them up so that they will be all ready when baby arrives...cant believe I am organised for one.

Enjoy the rest of Friday everybody

Negotiations are complete. I am having my Grandson 9 till 5 on Thursday.

His other Nan will have him Wednesday afternoon.

His Mum will take him to nursery Friday Morning and his other Nan will have him Friday afternoons.

I am assured I will still be having him for overnight stays and odd days out when they go out.

This will start in September (if I haven't found a desert island to run off to by then).

From a nursery perspective, they often want a child/baby to do more than one session as it can be very difficult for them to settle. Obviously variesfrom nursery to nursery but tthought she should be aware of that.

    [LW, have fun with Jess.
I'm assuming the baby pic is upsetting for someone who is struggling to conceive or has lost a baby, I sympathise but can't see why a pic in my room is upsetting whereas the pics in the staffroom aren't.
Molly, good luck with your forthcoming surgery.
Even more fun at work today, a colleague came to see me, very annoyed as it was someones b'day & cakes had been given out but only to some staff groups & not all & she hadn't received one. It cheered her up no end as I work in one of the teams that were given cake but I still didn't get any, my slice got lost, lol.
Judi, I have a friend who has her grandchildren 3 days & the other grandma has them 2 days a week, both grandma's are permanently worn out. I've not been asked to have mine as I still work full time.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester

    Evening all,

I've got my new gnashers:D feel very strange but I'm sure I will get used to them, probably will help with my diet:eek:

Judi I agree with the others, I loved my kids being small and being a stay at home mum but I couldn't think of anything worse than doing it all over again. I think your being very generous.
My middle boy and his partner are talking about babies at the moment and she has said a couple of times, when we leave the baby with you! She's in for a shock, I will help out when it's convenient as I do with my DGS but no way am I having babies over night for any length of time.
I love my grandchildren but I'm their grandma not their mum.

Dh and I have the house and the evening to ourselves so cuddles, Gardeners world and a nice chilled bottle of white:)

    Evening to All :hello:
I can't believe it's Friday night again already, I just don't know where the time goes. Had a busy and productive day. First thing I was up and food shopping, put stuff away including in to the fridge freezer & moving everything out of the old one in to the new one. I also went with my auntie for my first trip to a chicken factory where at certain times of the day it's open to the public and you can get the packed chicken that was for the supermarkets (over orders/cancelled orders ect) for really cheap. I got a 4 packs large chicken fillets, 6 packs mini chicken fillets and 2 full chickens for £15, so portioned that up and frozen. Will be going back once we have used that up as was fantastic. Paperwork done in the office, log burner lit, hoovered all downstairs and prepped tea - steak & chips :D - just waiting to find out what time my OH will be back home so it will be freshly made and he doesn't have to warm it up. Steak is his fave and I thought he deserved a treat as he worked til 10.30pm last night fixing a breakdown on a lorry (started work at 5am)!!
TTFTM - well wishes to your husband, stress is an awful thing!
nmlc - what a terrible thing, I also hope that help is available for those in need.
HUH - sounds similar to where I work during the beginning of the week, there is note as strange as folk!!
camelot - lucky you spotted the blade and as you say no kiddies or pets running around. That is not acceptable at all, hope they realize for attention to detail should be paid when tidying round.
judi - glad you have been able to come to an agreement.

Well last night I was woken at 12.30 just as I was nodding off, a police car came in to the courtyard and circled around then drove back off again, think they might of been looking for someone which was a scary prospect, or being nosey!! As we live off the main road and you then have to come in to a stoned courtyard it was very odd! My OH said not to worry as they had gone away again and we couldn't see of hear anything, it did freak me out though so I ended up reading until 1.30am til I could nod off again. Hoping for a more peaceful evening tonight.

Right enough babble from me, sorry everyone!!

Have a wonderful Friday evening whatever you may be doing :j
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
