Barratt Homes Coach House Insurance Rental

Barratt Homes build coach houses as part of their developments consisting of a 2 bed property over 4 garages with one garage belonging to the owner, the other garages to neighbouring properties. Each year a ground rent is payable and a percentage of the insurance premium. What is a way of calculating a fair proportion of the premium payable? Say a premium on the garage is for £3000 and the property is say £250,000.

So you are a leaseholder of a property that extends across the top of some garages, one of which you hold and the rest you dont. You want to know what percentage of the freeholders Building insurance you should be paying?0
