Hi
Hoping someone can help. I've been using Google's Chrome for some time on 32bit Windows, Vista and Windows 8 / 8.1. Never really had any issues.
Recently, bought a new laptop, with Window 8 64bit, and duly update to 8.1 immediately.
Re-installed all all my usual programs etc, including Chrome. Signed into chrome and my profile settings were installed as expected along with my usual extensions.
I've now noticed that installing new extensions seems to be less than fluid compared to my old 32bit windows set up. When installing an extension or app, the "add" button in the store seems to hang, changes to "checking" and takes ages to start downloading. Once downloaded, the app sits at the bottom and I have to wait around 2mins for it to install.
I noticed this when installing Ghostery, and thought it maybe that particular app, however it's doing the same when installing others such as Chromecast.
Tries the same on another windows account on the same PC. the issues is the same regardless.
I'm currently using Chrome 33.0.1750.154 m, which seems up to date.

Tweaked the host files as described, don't really get the comment around deleting the entry from "OpenDNS dashboard"
Any ideas? I don't want to switch browsers.
