Buyer from abroad help please

I sold a bundle of items on ebay and didnt realise til after the auction the buyer was from Gran Canaria. My auction stated I only post to UK and emailled the seller to tell them so. They now want me to either post to an unknown UK address or Gran Canaria, but I am reluctant to do either (GC address was supplied, not a UK one).
Can I refuse to send it at all?

Take a UK postal order as payment and send to the UK address.

Hi there, I don't know if you can refuse but just wondered for future reference if as well as stating that you don't sell to people overseas that you actually have this option switched on in your preferences and so people physically can't bid if they're outside the UK - won't stop em asking mind or trying! Still get people emailing me for details of postage costs to all over when I say clearly don't post outside UK!

ahhh the joy of eBay!

You can refuse to send if they pay by PayPal and an unconfirmed address given the high risks of a reversal.

A better option would be to ask for a bank transfer: either a domestic UK transfer or a BIC + IBAN international transfer - both are free of fees and risk. Note that any BIC + IBAN transfer from Spain needs to be made in Euros with Shared costs to be free of charges on the UK end. Most such transfers take between a few hours to several business days to be credited to your UK bank account.

    1) Convert the total due in GBP £ into Euros €.
    2) Give the buyer your details - BIC: NWBKGB2L IBAN: GB29NWBK60161331926819 etc. and request they use the eBay auction number as reference.
    3) Check your bank account for the transfer (converted to £ at the prevailing exchange rate). It should arrive free of UK bank charges (except NatWest/RBS who charge £1 for an advisory letter which you can opt out of).
