Good morning all!:) I'll probably pop out soon to enjoy the good weather:T.

Do you have an M comp. here - are the Carrot Batons & Peas comparing to M? Many TIA!

As for the gammon -. I was expecting a good price for T when I read [red] the first few lines of your post, thought you'd found something good there. I'll avoid Gammon vs T, thanks very much:T.

    saving the titanic

I just watched this on clubcard tv.
its about how the engineers on board battled to save the stricken ship. I listened mostly as I was browsing the net. but really enjoyed the film. the engineers managed to keep titanic afloat for an hr and a half longer than expected. so they managed to save many other lives by doing so. keeping power to the electric life boat winches. the lights on titanic were kept running thanks to them up until minutes before she went under. although 1 in 3 (about) on her survived, not one senior engineer survived.
the story is mostly narrated so good to listen to while doing other things on the lappy. :)

Savvy.I know you are a good man but I wish you were not so critical of some posts.

You can put people off posting. You even tried to put a dampener on the ferreros.

You have put me off posting my wombles and probally I'm not the only one.

    I just don't think it's very positive.

Hi there. I'm very sorry to hear this. I wondered where the wombles had gone yesterday and was almost going to ask. Please start posting them again - they provide valuable information.

I'm sorry I've come across as critical, I wasn't intending to. My aim behind it was good-intentioned, in order to try to save money. It was just my inability to avoid picking over things and drawing out little details, as well as not resisting have my two penn'orth. I'll try and rein myself in a little from now. In retrospect, I can see the final straw was probably the tiger baguettes, which you posted at 75p vs 50p (which is a positive APG vs Morries). I think now you were only intending to highlight items Avs M being cheaper. I chipped in, though, intending to save money - I'm like those blasted 'swap and saves' that keeps coming up on msm, suggesting 'cheaper' alternatives that sometimes turn out not to be cheaper and, in my case, things that aren't even available as options at the time.

Sorry for coming across as critical. Believe me I'm also my own biggest critic - and my own self-criticism is sometimes demoralising to myself - and part of the 'perfectionism' streak that I am constantly aspiring to (and which is unattainable to achieve).

Please keep posting your wombles, including if possible any missed from yesterday. I'll try and keep quiet or ignore my comments!

in this instance savvy's post was directed at me. it was only a bit of banter between us. I did not take offence as I hope he did not from me.

    I don't know about the Ferrero's though. :)

Yes, we were just joshing last night.

I shan't ever post a joke again on here in future(:rotfl:).

:eek:In RL you can say things in certain situations, away from others, and 'get with it' in those places, but need to watch what you say elsewhere. But here I can't get away at any time as someone not present at the time could well come in later and be able to view it all:eek::eek::eek: - it's so complicated - another layer of social complication that I've now to learn!:( With best wishes.
