    Afternoon lovelies.
    Hope everyone is well.

I was serving at work today when someone came in and picked up a click and collect reservation for some "me to you" stuff. I asked how she knew it was on special offer and she replied I saw it on grabbit :D. Bet she never knew she was being served by stinky :D:rotfl:

Spot on, Arthien, I pick and choose what glitches to partake in, I'm not in to chocalate, crisps or coke, all items that regularly glitch, so there is no point going out your way for it (and no one needs 100 bottles of coke), I shop once or twice a week, save your money and petrol and buy what you need!;):D

Nenen, as for spending time on here, it is time consuming but you don't have to read every post, if i'm 30 pages behind , I skim read or just go back 5 pages, any major glitch will be re quoted, so don't bust ya balls over it, spend time with your family, it's (ususlly:eek:) more fun than spending hours in supermarkets!!:D

Defo echoing locarrs response Nenen. I miss loads now since I started working. I have a very quick skim back, generally you can pick up if there is a glitch or whether it's just banter.
Don't give up, or feel you have to keep up. It's hard work sometimes but when there is a mahoosive glitch and you manage to get loads for very little you will be a very happy bunny.
I've defo learnt not to run of to the shops every single time now, I come on here more often than not just to catch up with everyone and have a giggle with them.
Stick around, this place is much much more than just somewhere for bargains and glitches to be posted :)

Knickers are not much different from bikini bottoms, (unless they're bloomers!) and no one bothers about wearing bikini bottoms in public, so what does it matter if people see your drawers on the washing line?:)

Personally, I like my gussets to get a good blowing!!:D:D:D

Lol at the knickers stories. We had to wear big navy ones for hockey and netball which the teacher referred to as Harvest Festivals - all is safely gathered in.

I really appreciate the warm welcome and all the help I've had while trying to learn about Elite ways to shop and I've already benefited from lots of shampoo, burgers and pork chops! :D:D:D
However, I've been struggling to keep up with this thread since joining a few weeks ago. I used to think I was reasonably intelligent but feel rather stupid, wasteful and incompetent now. :(:(:(

I also started to feel guilty about manipulating my shopping so that I benefit from glitches etc. and I'm very worried about getting trouted when I try to use APGs or ask for DTD.
The way I see it. If Tosco and Sada weren't bringing in extra custom and making money on the systems they would withdraw them. Just think about how many people DON'T check their receipts for overcharges in Tosco and those that don't check results in Sada. For every 1 of the 'Elite' type customers they are probably 100 or more 'ordinary' shoppers.

My (adult) children think I've finally lost the plot and laugh at my attempts to explain how the glitching works - although I've noticed they are happy to eat and drink the proceeds!
Yep....no kids for me, but family and friends are quite happy to receive products, but say I'm spending too much time on getting them.

DH is usually the kindest, most supportive hubby going but even he's losing patience with me as I try to get my head round glitches, comparisons, MSM, MOCs, multiple bank accounts etc etc etc. He told me yesterday (in a kind way) that I'd be far better off concentrating on finding a couple of extra paid hours work per week than spending endless hours both on here and in the supermarket, driving myself mad trying to save a few pounds.
Whilst its probably true you'd be better off in a paid job....its not gonna be as much fun. I am actually having marriage counselling and have been for 6 months. I was advised I should cut back on my shopping from 2 days to 1 day a week. I have done but still spend a lot of time on my computer checking details before my day shopping.
My husbands obsession is exercising. Now if I could get into exercising we'd probably have no issues....but I hate exercise and he hates shopping

I decided to take his advice and give up trying to shop the Elite way so, as I happened to be driving past Morries yesterday, I did some shopping there. It's rare for me to shop in Morries as my nearest one is 15 miles away but one thing I have learned from the Elite is that on comparison shops Morries is usually the cheapest overall so I thought I'd go and have a look round to see if it would be worth me driving the extra 12 miles (compared to 3 miles to my nearest Tosca) on a regular basis.

When I checked my Morries receipt I found that 2 different offers had not kicked in (orange juice £2.28 each or 2 for £3.50 & fresh herbs 79p each or 2 for £1). I went to CS and they politely refunded me the difference. As far as I know Morries do not offer any sort of recompense for pricing errors (other than to refund the excess paid if you are eagle eyed enough to spot their errors) but this got me thinking about how often supermarkets overcharge and get away with it.

I feel very torn now - on the one hand I don't want to drive myself (and dh) crazy spending endless hours trying to save a few pounds but on the other hand I am so angry that supermarkets seem to be continually overcharging me unless I am hyper-vigilant.

I suppose my question is - can shopping the Elite way really make a massive difference to our spending and, if it can, is it just me that finds this so difficult and time consuming to get my head round?:o
You are definetly not alone in finding it time consuming, but I enjoy the buzz and chase of it too.

I work fulltime so my available time is limited, but I do insist on not giving up my hobby unless husband is prepared to give up his (yes he could argue his hobby is beneficially to his health - but the amount he actually does with like minded friends is just as damaging to our relationship)
    The end is nigh

    a knicker story ....

When we were painting our first house my MIL came round to help bringing with her a pair of clean large pants which she popped on her head whilst painting the ceiling to stop drips of paint from getting on her hair....she happily said I should follow suit but I had to confess that my knickers would go nowhere near covering my long hair even if I managed to tuck it in my smalls ...and I painted the walls instead!
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend

I remember the navy knickers from school  and the pe skirt that we had to wear in all weathers

No cellulite in those days :rotfl:

I only hang certain underwear on the line but I'm not bothered by it. I have one of those hanger things that has about 20 pegs on a hoop that I hang 'em out on
