Thanks to Karlie and her financial expertise, I have now opened a Nationwide Flex account for myself and also another one for my DH. Just have to wait now for the paperwork.

Also, Tesco have just very kindly donated a free £16.78 joint of silverside beef to the TBW slush fund.

    The week has started well.

    :T:T:T Try the lamb. ;)

New TSB account: how to make £600 a year

TSB has hit the headlines with the launch of its new Plus current account promising 5% interest on balances of £2,000, worth £100 a year, but a Moneywise investigation has found how couples can get six times that.

    http://www.moneywise.co.uk/news/2014-03-13/new-tsb-account-how-to-make-600-year?utm_source=Newsletter2014-04-07&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=ContentPromotion

So if me and OH opened up 6 accounts over the next month with £2000 in each could I then use the £500 that I put into the first one opened, to trans into the second, then a few days later take it out and put into the third one and continue this way using the same £500 for all six accounts, then rinse and repeat for the rest of the year?

Yes, but you don't need to leave it a few days. It only has to credit the account and be moved seconds later through all accounts.
