Are you buying cheap for the winter or are they just for show?

And a bit rainy too:(. It was a silly idea to go looking for wombles late last night. Obviously cooped-up(:j) in my ivory tower last night but, when I left, I discovered...hey it's raining:rotfl:. You then wait ages for wombles to dry out, before you can unfold them safely - only to find they've bought 6 items:(:(.
I did get a positive return though. Grand total of 11 pence:mad::rotfl:. 9p on one receipt:( and this gave the (also turned-down) opportunity for two pence:
I thought it looked good with the expensive Emulgel, but sadly they fell for all these round pound and straight £2/ £1.50 items:(.
Why £0.02?

Easter eggs.
Morning. Need to buy four to be given out this weekend!
Any ideas which ones and where will represent best value, the children range from 5-11. Thanks,0 -
So, as usual:(, my own shopping turns out best.
Oh dear, one of the mbuy savings failed to come off on my receipt:D. This was (supposed to be) a triple 'trigger' shop. I saw there were four Cadbury Twinpots in the 4 for £3:eek: offer on msm/a.com before I left, but instore they seemed to have a lot more in the 4 for £3. They were on the end of the desserts aisle and had 78p and 4 for £3 marked on all the SELs, in a row next to each other. Mbuy mix of Cadbury Twins together with the last remaining Galaxy twinpot did not come off on the receipt. I suspect they are in two different offers - but how was I to know that from the layout? I'll return for that £2 GC.
Sadly the 2 for £1 Morries mbuy (on the 2 Flakes I bought) wasn't picked up:(. (I'll have to pretend one or other of the Party Rings and Rich Tea Creams failed to pick up an M price.) Lost about 51p on these chilled desserts. Making it 4 for £1 (with GC) then only about 23 or 24p APG (instead of about 75p:(). Still 19 and a quarter or so pence per twinpot.:eek:That's still way too expensive!!

Triggers: Ocean Spray Cranberry&Raspberry Juice Drink 3x200ml, B/C ending 45234 4.
Pink Panther CHOC wafers (still!), to the Fox's.
Galaxy Ripple (on this occasion) to the Cadbury Twins (sort of).
So, instead of a triple set of fully-working comparisons with triggers, I got a couple of sets that worked and one that glitched against me by not picking up M's mbuy (the Cadbury Flake desserts).
Note aau1: some of the figures I've calculated in this post are approximate. I'm not fully woken up yet and it's too early in the day for me to be exact:D:beer:.0 -
