A little advise/guidance if someone can help. I bought the E5332 from Tesco direct locked to T Mobile. I bought an unlock code from EBay and I believe that it is now unlocked. Silly me thought if I stick any data sim card into the e5332 it would allow me to connect to the internet automatically. So I took out a Vodaphone sim from an old dongle which I know works fine slipped it into the E5332 but it will not connect. Am I missing something here? Anybody with a good knowledge here able to help please..:o

You need to configure the connection manager to work with the different SIM e.g. apn, username, password settings. Google to find them for your particular type of Voda SIM.

Will I have to do that everytime I put a different network sim in? I thought it was as simple as unlocking a phone, do it once then off you go?

On the connection manager that I use with a mobile dongle, I can create several different profiles for use with different networks and select the one required for the SIM being used.

Some apn settings etc. for common SIM's here

No it didn't connect to the network though showed a good signal on the Huawei

Yeah, as long as the sim lock screen came up - you entered the code - and then the device found the network signal from the sim inserted it should be fine.

Apart from Giff Gaff - this device usually connects to the sim automatically - provided its a mobile broadband sim.

Maybe APN settings will need changing as suggested above.
