Help!! Woodworm in brand new Oak Flooring

Can anyone advise me of my legal rights? I recently bought several thousand pounds worth of Oak flooring for my house from my localbranch of a National Company. I have been going through the house room by room putting down the oak boards fitting new skirting’s and door casings and doors and then decorating. I had gone two/thirds of the way round the house when I opened a fresh box of the Oak boards and Horror of Horrors half the boards in the box were badly infested with woodworm. All 50+ boxes had the same batch number and I have 20 boxes left unopened. Taking the boards up will trash the new skirting’s as the boards run underneath and will in turn ruin the newly decorated rooms and months of work? I need to know my legal rights and options. Any advice or thoughts would be very much appreciated. I have lodged a complaint with the local branch and they have sent the boards to company head office and I was told it would take at least a week for them to get back to me.

I expect you are entitled to replacement boards and woodworm treatment.

is there just some holes in the wood? or are there signs of dust etc? If just holes there could have bee worms in it at some stage but I would assume it would have been treated before you purchased it. If there is dust there is a live insestation.
Woodworm lives in the wood for 5 - 7 years and the holes you see are exit holes when the worm has come to the end of its life. The worms then bore their way out lay lava and then die. the new lava hatches and makes their way back into wood for another 5 - 7 years. i am rambling now so will stop. :-)0
