I am trying to install AVG Cloudcare but 'something' is preventing it can anyone offer a solution please?

I have removed the old AVG successfully - it appears that it's a windows or microsoft essentials program that is preventing it the new one from being opened. I've tried reducing my security settings to no avail.

I'm now getting desperate at the thought of not having any protection on my machines can anyone help please?

something is preventing doesn't really help diagnosis.

If you have microsoft security essentials, why do you need avg (are you installing it for av purposes only or for cloud services?)

    avast is better than both
