Got a letter to come in for a customer compliance office interview

My circumstances haven't changed,I don't even have a casual boyfriend let alone someone living here. My ex keeps using my address as his own so I'm guessing that's why.I am furious with him-I have told him over and over to change his address to his actual address and he's too lazy to do so.I've just had a huge row with him on the phone.I've been sending letters back with "not at this address-return to sender" on them but I keep getting others. Is there anything I can do?I'm so annoyed that through his laziness to change his address I'm having to go and be interviewed. He's such a moron.

First thing to understand is that as long as you are not 'living together as husband and wife' - you are not a couple.
Someone using your address, having shared credit links, or ... does not make you LTAHAW.

    Yes, it raises issues.

    Important points.
The relationship has irretrievably broken down.
He is living elsewhere, and not using your house.

I wouldn't have him back if he paid me tbh-he cheated on me for 2 years and blatantly lied about it. He was homeless for a long while before getting his current room which is why he used my address. However he's been there a month now so he's had lots of time to change it.

My interview is April 7th.Wish it was tomorrow-I'd rather get it sorted out asap.Hate waiting.

Oh that's a good idea-I already send it back but it hadn't occurred to me to contact Royal Mail.

  • I believe (but may be wrong) that Royal Mail are obliged to deliver mail to the address shown on the envelope, regardless of the name. I still get post put through my door for people who haven't lived here for a decade! Unless your ex pays to have his post redirected I doubt very much they can do anything, especially as you are not the intended recipient.

Ring them and ask if it can be brought forward if you are that worried. They are not unreasonable and usually will if they can
