    Hi all

I just wanted to say a quick thank you! My mum emailed the the landowner late last night, and by 2pm today was told the ticket had been cancelled, along with an apology for the inconvenience.

Coupon-mad - I will certainly try to get a copy of the POPLA appeal to post on here to help others.

Fabulous news - and very quick! I assume your Mum is convinced now that it was never a good plan to think about paying it?! I will add it to this thread of successful complaints:

Successful complaints about private parking tickets - how to get them cancelled!

    :T

P.S. it would still be good to round off your thread with the losing POPLA appeal & decision words so others can see the strategies that don't work as well as those that do. In addition, there are some emails behind the scenes going to POPLA and their scrutiny committee, to try to drag them kicking and screaming towards the realisation that the Equality Act 2010 is a primary law they (POPLA) can't ignore. If your appeal mentioned that 'nan is elderly and slow to get about' then that should have rung a warning bell as it did with us straight away. Could you include your POPLA code when you post up the losing decision for us to see, because if you did mention the mobility issue then I could cite your case no. to POPLA as another failure to recognise an Equality Act discrimination issue in failing to make a reasonable adjustment.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
