Paid 5 Days Later - When Should I Post?

Had 4 items ending on Friday last week. I said I would prefer payment straight away so I could lost on Saturday and if not, then by Monday so I could post then.
Buyer doesn't pay until this morning after a "not received payment" case was opened. No message was sent saying they were having financial issues or that the dog had eaten their computer and phone so they couldn't make payment etc.
Would you go out of your way to post today or even this week or wait until next Monday when you were posting out again?
I probably will go today, but was just wondering what you guys normally did.

If someone has only paid after I have had to open a NPB I make sure I post as soon as possible because I don't want to give them any reason to mark me down cos from experience people who only pay after NPB's have been opened are trouble and liable to leave lows.0

I wouldnt post it at all. As above no payment and no contact could mean a PITA of a buyer.
I would rather get marked for not received item. Then a quick response to their feedback "sorry your item didnt arrive, refunded right away"
Sell it elsewhere.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

I typically buy not sell. But, if I was a professional seller, and someone didn't pay, I think I'd message them to ask if they still want the item and offer a cancellation if they say that they don't. I realise that they might then refuse the cancellation and then I'd be out the fees, but I would not want to continue with a sale if I had to raise NPB. Perhaps experienced sellers will correct me, but I suspect that the comments that the buyer might be a PITA come from experience.0 -
Some people don't have access to a computer 24/7 so maybe your posting slots did not match with them paying. Ebay give buyers 2 days to pay before a NPB case can be opened and then another 4 days.0

If you decide to post next week, remember the postage goes up so you might have to pay more.0

Buyer has paid. Seller posts. That's it really.
If it is difficult to post quickly send the buyer a message and let them know that due to later payment you won't be able to post as quickly as an earlier payment.
I get several late payers who pay after an NPB, or a message, or a second invoice. They all go into the same pile for sending out with my next batch of post. I've never noticed a difference in feedback or DSRs from any of them.
These days it's hard enough to get a paying customer, even if they make you wait. No point in refunding and going through the whole process again..0 -
What is your dispatch time? That's the crux if the issue.
Being petty and holding onto it for ages only has the potential to cause you further issues.0 -
Because i'm a private seller and don't have loads of sales I used to be able to run reports (back when they were working!) and I did get lower stars a few times, my only low in comms at the moment is from someone I had to open one on so I presume they didn't like that! I had someone lie and say an item was SNAD and even though I refunded on return they negged and left lows across the board, they clearly didn't want to have paid and only did so to avoid a strike. To be fair I probably haven't had a load of NPB'ers who have gone on to pay but I have noticed a trend though it's probably 50/50 whether they will be trouble or not.0
