My one pearl of wisdom is to increase your monthly payment to the maximum you can afford and to add any unexpected windfalls to reduce the capital without reducing the monthly repayment.1 -

Just enjoying life knowing the roof over our heads is ours, our children are still young so lovely to be able to do things with them that we wouldn't have been able to do if we still had the mortgage.0 -
