Renting another property with the same letting agent

If I'm moving home to a property let by the same letting agent I'm currently with.. Do all the same fees apply? I.e credit check? They already have my information and payment information as we have used them for around 2 1/2 years

It's the landlord who requires the credit-checks etcetera and the agent will take advantage of the opportunity of charging you more fees. It won't be any different to renting through any other agent.

Never forget: the agent is acting on behalf of the landlord they have a contract with, not you.

Ask for a discount. They know you. Tell them you have seen another property you like also.

Agent will charge you £100-300 for each reference/credit check. Their cost is sub £20.

Ok great thanks. I just didn't know if they charge you for a credit check again even though they already have your payment history.

They dont have to credit check, and its not the l/lord that requests most of the time the agencys insist
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Ah right I see. I thought it was always the landlord to asked for a credit check. I don't want to be paying for extra things when I don't need to. Thanks
