Hi
I have never had a credit card before, Could someone tell me if you can transfer an existing overdraft that i have with the abbey national to a credit card, does this count as a balance transfer??

If you haven't had a credit card before, then you may struggle to get the 'best' cards although there is no harm in trying for one or two.
Only some CC allow balance transfers to current accounts.. mainly Egg cards or the MBNA portfolio of cards.
But remember that transferring a debt isn't the same as clearing it.0 -

Hi thanks for the reply. I have been accepted for the Natwest card as advised on MSE. 13 months interest free on balance transfers? has anyone used this card to transfer an overdraft.0 -
Not possible to transfer directly with this card (at least not at 0%). You'll need a 'mule' card such as Egg Money.
