Samsung rejects read the multiple posts on many forums one million plus all dealing with rejected repairs under warranty .

    Typical from MSE
I rung up the repair centre, to be told because I have a cosmetic crack (caused by a upset toddler) they are refusing to open up my phone. They acknowledged that the crack is purely cosmetic and can in now way cause the issue that I am having.
I asked for a refund, they have refused. But they are refusing to fix my phone as its ''out of warranty due to the crack''.

I ask for the engineer's report and photo evidence of the liquid damage but they said there is no report or photos since as soon as they see water damage they do nothing else on it.

So why exactly have they rejected the repair? First you say they won't even open it to look at because of a crack caused by a toddler then you say they won't fix because of liquid damage, if they won't even open it how do they know whether there is liquid damage?

How can you be sure the crack is purely cosmetic? A crack would be caused by some sort of impact so there is no knowing what internal damage has been caused by the same impact.

I don't disagree that they reject repairs but I do find it strange that they reject so many and people accuse them of not wanting to honour their warranty when I get 100s of items repaired with them every year with around a 1% reject rate. Maybe it's more specific to phones which I don't deal with, but I do deal with a lot of tablets and they go to exactly the same repair centre as phones and would undergo the same checks.

I'm basing my opinion purely on my own experiences with them and compared to the other manufacturers of the same/similar items that I deal with.
