I've tried both with my Destructo-Rottie.
Boomer Ball was the longest lasting - perhaps mainly because Kiki shows very little interest in it! She will chase it if kicked (that hurts!) once or twice but gets bored once she realises she can't pick it up or burst it.
Jolly Balls were well received and she had great fun with them. She popped the inner on both of them fairly quickly, but it lasted a while after that. She eventually chewed through both of them. I'd say they were good value for money as a treat (I bought them with some Christmas bonus money I wasn't expecting) but not something I would keep replacing.
Kiki destroys nearly every toy though - she's chewed her way through a couple of Kongs so far (not at a daily rate, thankfully, they've had a good life but eventually split down the middle).0 -
Making it her mission to eat the Jolly ball0

Thanks
She's a little older now, but thanks to several physio sessions to tackle her shoulder problem and sorting her thyroid meds once again, she's slimming down and toning up again quite nicely for a 7 year old dog!

I've used both for my Shep. The boomer ball drives him crackers - he runs round the garden 'dribbling' it and barking as the one I bought is too big for him to pick up. It's quite heavy too, so tends to make a lot of noise when he crashes it into things.
The JollyBall Romp N Roll is the one that he absolutely adores. We are on our second one now and eventually he managed to get his teeth into it, but my goodness it had some hammer before he did!!0 -
I tried the boomer ball with a ball obsessed bull terrier.
Because I had to buy one too big to go in her mouth and she'd chase it with no thought to any obstacles I couldn't use it in either the house or garden as she'd have been through the fence without a second thought.
Using it in the great outdoors was also a problem as she couldn't go offlead to chase it. The day she chased it round me in a big circle then took my legs out from under me with the lead was the day I gave it up as a bad job.
She did love it though - would probably have been fine with a slightly less focussed dog.
I've not seen the jolly balls before - might give one a go with gitdog. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Hmm decisions.......
It's for a yr old springer if that makes any difference
No idea on size of either? Website says 6" boomer0 -
Boomer should be big enough so that he can't actually pick it up in my opinion - it's pretty hard plastic but I reckon if a dog actually got his jaws round it he could crack it. As for JollyBall - I get an 8" for my Shep.0
