    Another newbie posting rubbish!

Why thank you for your vote of confidence and making new people to the forums feel welcome. But seriously calm down dude, after reading your post history you appear to have a problem with everyone on here and have no time for people new to the forum. (or anyone by the looks of it).

I have repaired and serviced many Medion machines in the past and had to deal with low build quality with overpriced budget internal parts. Maybe they have upped their game in the current climate but I doubt it.

    My "vote of confidence"

    :rotfl:

Why would I give my vote of confidence to a newbie making a ridiculous sweeping generalisation like "Medion are not known for their quality products" when they are actually very well regarded and have proved to be reliable for at least a decade.

I don't need to calm down, I'm simply warning others that your pathetic, ill-informed comment is worthless and should be ignored.

Ignoring the obvious trolling by espresso who believes their opinion counts more as they have a higher post count. Forum members whether new or not have opinions. Your opinion is yours, mine is my own based on my own hard practical experience from 15 years as an IT engineer. Arguing on an online form is akin to throwing baked beans at a rhino so I'll move along to other threads spreading my "sweeping generalisations" Thanks

My original point still stands for the OP as I want to actually don't want to derail the thread. There is a lot of tablets available that are far higher quality and have better functions than a Medion for around the same money or a little more if you shop around.

And what has the quality of a PC got to do with tablets? the components are entirely different. Medion source products from Chinese manufacturers like most 'brands' and there is little chance of any connections.

Its as daft as saying Tesco cabbage is rubbish because their toilet roll is lousy.

Kernel Sanders - pixel density - irrespective of your netbook, 1024x600 is terrible for a tablet in this day and age. Resolutions have gone up. The original iPad was 1024x768. Most smartphones have a higher resolution (and FAR higher pixel density). Even with the clever scaling that Android can do, apps won't look great, and you'll be doing a LOT of scrolling.

Medion have been bought by Lenovo, so, it's pretty safe to say, all of the components are sourced in China. (As are Apple products).
While Medion are not known to be a bad PC supplier, they have always only been a budget player and as such they will have mixed reviews.
