back doors of iceland blocked by delivery van so car parked in a space, not obstructing access doors or oncoming/reversing traffic. no permit because i was picking up shopping. vans blocking view to and from car so didnt see warden.
emailed iceland explaining situation and asking them for advice regarding charge. waiting for a reply.
read the newbie thread and think i've got it!
wait for post notice to keeper, appeal it, get rejected with POPLA number then appeal to POPLA.

i have the receipt from iceland but no date or time on receipt, just list of shopping. unfortunately i didnt think to take any photos of doors/van/where car was parked as evidence.
iceland actively encourage customers to pick up shopping from the back too. they have no official car park in this store.

this is in england, i am the registered keeper and ticket states 'no permit' by euro car parks

Yep just wait for the NtK providing you are the registered keeper, then send the appeal from the newbies thread. Then wait for the rejection, and come back here for help with popla, please don't do it alone.

very little of that programme has anything to do with private parking issues

its mainly focussed on council issues, council tickets etc

As Redx says, that show is talking about Council PCNs. Not the same thing and a private 'PCN' cannot morph into £500+ if unpaid.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I appealed using the companys web site nearly two months ago 25/4/14. I've had nothing back. Safe to not fret about it now?

no , they have up to 6 years to enforce a parking ticket in england or wales (but only against the driver if they dont follow POFA 2012 correctly)
