EE Contract

Hi there,
Just looking for tips really. I currently have a sim-only contract with EE, but am being charged £46 a month because I took it out when EE first launched. It's actually in my fathers name, but as we were with Orange before we just migrated over and being 17 at the time I just give him the money each month towards it.
Is there any way to get out of the contract with EE or early upgrade with them to a cheaper contract without buying it out? I know obviously we agreed to a contract, but we are being royally ripped off compared to the deals they are now offering. I would really appreciate any advice anyone can give me here.
Is there anything I can do such as claim another company has offered to buy me out? Etc.
Probably should have mentioned that we migrated from Orange to EE in around January last year, we were told that the migration process meant we would not get a new phone but would be transferred to a sim-only contract and recieve 46 and sign a new 24 month contract.

The question is often asked in the Mobiles forum .
You can ask your provider how much to terminate the contract .Usually its the remaining months on the contract .
But i would be asking about a tariff change first though that will tie you in to a further contract .
Can you terminate your contract as its now cheaper or you can find a cheaper supplier answer is no.0 -

I completely agree. We agreed to a contract and I'm not arguing the fact that we should stick to it. They are just offering phones on contracts for CHEAPER than what I'm paying for just a sim.. even other companies have laughed and said we are being ripped off.0 -
In that case it's time to do a cost/benefit analysis. Work out how much it'll cost to terminate the EE contract; how much a new contract is elsewhere; and how long on the new contract before you break even versus the EE contract payment.0
