Hello :D

Currently.... We have virgin media broadband L (up to 20mb) & phone package talk unlimited.

I want to reduce the costs, I'm happy to restrict calls to after 6pm & weekends, and the broadband size is enough for me. This costs approx £46 a month.

I'm not currently in a contract with them as we've had it so long, I must be be able to get these cheaper somewhere else? I'm taking on the house on my own after my ex finally leaving & I'm just want to reduce all costs as much as possible.

Anyone have any advice? I only have a cable line in that is virgins. I don't have bt line installed. I'd appreciate any advice. Thankyou :o

You most certainly are still in a contract, but possibly out of minimum term, unless yoi have changed your package in the last 12/18m, in which case VM will have put you on a new minimum term. Otherwise you are subject to 30 days notice. So that's the first thing to check with them. Any other service will require the provision or reconnection of a BT-based line-there are no other national cable providers than VM.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

The account is still in my mums name, who we lost early last year..which I'd not realised as I've dealt with so much for her.

so they've confirmed I'm classed as not being in contract, the last change was made well over 2 yrs ago. So have option to negotiate a new deal. Which I'm happy about.
