Pregnant abandoned cat

hi

I'm after a bit of advice or just an opinion please.
I have a pregnant cat living in a box in my garden after I started feeding her.
She lives or lived in a house 6 doors up from me but I think she's been abandoned. There has definitely been nobody at the house for over a week.
I have 2 cats and a dog so I cant let her in the house.
What should I do? Would the RSPCA be interested or the cats protection league?
I am feeding her and she has a dry place to sleep but what about when the kittens come?
Thanks for reading.

RSPCA do not have a good reputation when it comes to cases like this. Can you tell us what area you are in OP and maybe people can recommend small local rescues that may be able to help.
It is very kind of you to have cared for her so far....but obviously it is vitally important that she has her kittens inside in a safe and warm environment. Kittens born outside do not have great chances of survival, and if they do live they will be feral as they will not be properly socialised with humans.
For now, please feed her as much good quality food as you can manage.

Hi, many thanks for the reply.
    I'm in Northumberland.
I am feeding her often with very good quality food and giving her cuddles.
The thing I'm most worried about is if she has the kittens outside.

Can you phone the local Cats Protection? Also, have you tried the neighbour's house or put a note through the door?
What goes around comes around.....I hope!

I've messaged her on Facebook but she hasn't replied. This is not the 1st time she's abandoned an animal. She keeps getting rid of one then gets a new one!
I will phone the cats protection league tomorrow if she still hasn't replied to my message.
    Thanks for the replies.

Sounds like you should get the RSPCA involved just due to her attitude. Poor little cat. At least she has you looking out for her.

A local rescue would be best, but in the meantime is there anywhere the cat can go? A single room in the house, shed or garage? Even a friend who's a cat lover? My friends would turn to me on that one lol! I know I couldnt have anymore animals but could house more if only temporary.
RSPCA are good ones to call if the cat is defiantly abandoned and there is proof of it's previous owner as the RSPCA can prosecute.
:hello: Hiya, I'm single mom, avid moneysaver and freecycler, sometimes  but definatly :D

Get in touch with your local CPL, or small rescue centre. Well done on looking out for her, and for feeding her. Hope you find a way forward soon .

    Thanks everyone!
My next door neighbour is going to let her stay in her kitchen tonight and I'm hoping she will fall in love with her and let her move in :)
