Hi Guys, I'm trying to get Sons pc working, but unable to get online , even in safe mode with networking?.
Security Centres turned off, cannot update A/v, malwarebytes, which is Pro, so should auto update? et.al.
although the A/v and Mbam is showing clear when run, they are out of date , 7 days?
Cannot turn Firewall on.
Connected to router via ethernet, but everything on taskbar is red crossed.
Looks like a Virus stopping me at each turn?
Done 1 system restore, after hassle, no change, 2nd attempt failed
error0x80070005??
Is it clean sweep? if so, what's best way?
Windows 7
Samsung laptop.Amilo
Any advice would be appreciated.

It's a Fujitsu. Just run a clean install if nothing to save. Of course if you created an image using Macrium, you could use that to restore the laptop.

You already have the Windows 7 recovery disc.

Installation instructions here in three parts and 34 pics Delete all partitions as indicated and install Windows 7 on the newly unallocated space.

For the future, take note of closed's advice and create an image using Macrium once you have installed all Windows Updates and your usual software.
