these airlines all fly that route...why not phone their call centres and explain the situation?

If it is a close relative Cyprus Airways or BA may offer a compassionate fare, call them direct. These flights might be via Heathrow.

Can you put the money directly into his bank account, I was under the impression if you paid the money in at the branch that it updates automatically.

Yup, im with Lloyds and if I put cash in to my account it shows up straight away

But when your banking is done on line, the dear sweet banks, not being greedy grasping so n so's like, take their own sweet time in transfering your funds. I'm sure our own fab Martin will confirm that fact. But i'm saying no more on that . . For now anyway!

Anyway. problem is solved. Thanks to the usual excellent advise from other members of this forum i've finally got him a flight home on Sunday. So, fingers crossed, all should now be sorted.

Once again, a very big hearty thjankyou for the help everyone.

Ring First Choice office in Protaras. I know you can book flights from there, if you explain the situation they should be able to help.

I dont understand about the payment thing?? I booked flights via Thompson on Monday evening for my husband from Turkey to UK. Used mt card to pay - no problem.
