Parking Eye - Bedminster, Bristol

Good morning everyone,
I have recently received a letter from "Parking Eye" regarding "over staying my welcome".
I drove into the Aldi / Tobacco Factory car park in Bedminster Bristol at 13:33, dropped my daughter off for her dance class, then left 2 minutes later and then went to Asda for the weekly shop.
At 15:00, I arrived back from Asda to the same car park to collect my daughter and due to a delay in her dance class, we left the car park at 15:33.
On Thursday, I received a letter from the Parking Eye requesting money as I had stayed in the car park for more than the 1:20 allowed.
Attached to the letter was a still of my vehicle entering the car park at 13:33 and leaving at 15:35, but not the stills of me leaving the car park at 13:35 and arriving at 15:00.
I appealed online last night, with the attachment of my Asda shopping receipt with the date and time in view, to show that I was clearly not in the car park, but approx 1 mile away in Asda.
I contacted Parking Eye this morning on 0845 264 1189, inputted 12 "0" and waited and was eventually passed through to a operator.
We discussed the fine and the obvious fudging of the stills as they had forgotten to attach me leaving and arriving back and the woman confirmed that maybe the leaving and arriving stills were not possible as my vehicle may have been blocked by other vehicles. "Okay I replied, how convenient". Also it was Sunday and the car park was nearly empty.
The call was ended.
From reading the MSE many "Parking Eye" threads, I read that I just ignore everything.
Is this correct as these threads are from 2011 / 2012.
Is it possible for anyone in the MSE community to advise.
Kind regards

Ignoring has not been advised for a very long time now, concentrate on threads from the last six months for current advice!
Start by reading the Newbies sticky thread at the very top of the forum for a clear idea of what you need to do now.0 -
No do not ignore - especially not with the likes of PE.
The threads you read are out of date and you need to read the Forum advice in the sticky NEWBIES thread (1st thread on main page) but I'll post you the link below along with one to a flowchart route mapping how to handle such Parking charges.
Did you appeal as the keeper or have you identified the driver (either in the appeal or the phonecall - never advisable btw to talk to them) ?
Have a look at these

and take a look at the flow chart post #9 http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/....php?t=49220550 -
Hello ColliesCarer,
I went tot he PE website and appealed as the driver / keeper of the vehicle.
I could try Asda for the CCTV of me entering and leaving there store.
I hope it does not come to that as that could be a hassle obtaing that.
Ruthless PE.0 -
Pity you didn't come here first - it's better to appeal as the keeper and it looks like you have named yourself as driver - anyway what's done is done - wait for their rejection letter - you will then need to draft an appeal to POPLA but NOT based on circumstances.
Read the NEWBIES thread post #3 to understand the legal arguments against such charges.
What's happened is you've received a speculative invoice so ask yourself this
If I got an invoice from some unknown firm demanding I pay them £100 just because they say I owe it them would I just pay it? No of course you wouldn’t
You’d want to know
Who are they? Do they have a right to try to claim this money from me? NO
And even if they did - Is this a reasonable amount for what they say I did? NO
Did I even see a warning that I’d be charged this sum? NO
The legal arguments cover why the answer to those three question is NO
Plus - What has happened to you is Known as double-dipping - they take the 1st image in and the last image out. They are ANPR(automatic number plate recognition) images btw and not CCTV stills - so read up on that too - as there are appeal points related to the accuracy/compliance of ANPR systems0 -
Thanks.
As and when I get a response, I will return.
Kind regards:)0 -

But please read 'How to win at POPLA' in the NEWBIEs thread while you are waiting so you can plan your POPLA appeal.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
