Hello!
Haven’t been here in a while, I’m getting so slack eh? I also haven’t read the thread for a while, so have no idea what’s going on, but will catch up again soon.
Nowt moneysaving today as at work (the usual). Even worse (moneysavingwise) is that I’ve told mum if it’s raining to just call a cab to get my eldest from school as she will have take my youngest with her and I don’t like the idea of her struggling home in the wet.
Had my first frozen sandwich today and it was actually okay. Heard people made sandwiches for the week and froze them and I thought, that’s a good idea. Cos I don’t get through a loaf of bread very quickly, so that’s a handy tip that I shall continue!
Dinner tonight is veal mince spaghetti Bolognese for the girls, I might grab a micro meal that is in the fridge as I’m counting the calories.
Tried the girls with pulled pork in the slow cooker on Monday and they both refused to eat it. I thought it was lovely!Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

Hi all,
Been MIA for while but have been reading. Very busy with work, both of us having colds and also visiting around the country to tell people we're engagaed! Technically it happened a month ago but we had to first wait for the ring to be resized (I have stupidly small fingers!) then we wanted to wait until we'd see our parents in person. I can wear my ring to work now :j
Chicken pieces with rice and some veggies thrown in tonight, should be enough left over for some tomorrow too. Also had a lot of NSDs recently which I am pleased with, and we're making the most of our DVD rental subscription rather than going out so saving money there too :T
I'm getting a bit fed up of doing all the cleaning on a weekend so I think I'm going to set myself one job a night after work, that way I won't feel too overwhelmed and it should give us some more free time at the weekends too.
Thinking of those struggling with sleep, feeling poorly or sad or just generally having a rough time.
Happy birthday to NPM :bdaycake:
LameWolf - glad you have another visitor on the way!

Snoozer how did the cruise meeting go
Newthrift my hubby is the same, doesn't matter what's going on he sleeps like a log:)
Been out with dh for a change as he was working in Lancaster, sometimes I can't bear another day in the house, this way I get out without having to walk much.
We had a nice lunch and dh is now busy finishing the cladding on the side of the bath. My lovely son called for an hour which was nice. He always brightens my day. Is very excited the way his business is doing.
The youngest is busy revising so haven't seen him much since we got back.
Won't see my girl until Thursday and my eldest boy skyped from Indonesia this morning where he is working at the minute, very hot there 95% humidity! would rather be a bit chilly to be honest.
Weigh in in the morning fingers crossed.
Have a good evening x

Congrats Emma!
Well, the veal spag bol went down a treat. My 5yr old loves spag bol anyway and the 3yr old tried the old "don't like it," but we told her it was different meat, persuaded her to try a bit and she ate all the mince (ok, so not a lot) that was on her plate. Well chuffed with that!
Asked mum how much she paid for it (she has a tendency to buy things and then hand me a bill at the end of the week which is fair enough) and it was £4 for 500g or she could have got three packs for £10.
And I must admit, I thought it was rather tasty. I was going to have micro meal, but a bit rude when you come in from work and someone has cooked for you, and I've worked out the calories and fat and stuff and it's actually half the amount of normal beef mince. So think I may put it on the shopping list in future.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010
