Pebbledash rendering

I have recently moved into a new house that has pebbledash rendering, the houses either side are the same but our house seems to lose a lot of stones?! It appears all over my decking, down the side of the house, at the front. I have looked and can't see any patches that look bald (if you can see what I mean)

Should I get it re done? Or is it normal, our house is raised up and takes the worse of the weather? I don't know if that's an issue?

It's very common to lose pebbledash and eventually over the years you'll lose more and more - especially if it hasn't adhered correctly. So even if you do get it re dashed you will find it again.

I've had the same problem with mine and it's been dashed twice in the last 40 years. Neighbours have had theirs rendered. I'm getting mine insulated and then rendered,

The pebbles are set in concrete, sand and cement is concrete which is not porous, when we have wet weather, the cement gets wet and the pebbles get loose if it freezes overnight.

The answer is 'it will always do that'.

You can powerwash thw wall which gets all the loose ones off in one foul swoop.
Painting the wall stops it , but then you will be painting them once every 3-4 years. Viscious circles.:T:T
