I am trying to claim PPI back on a Bank of Ireland mortgage. They admit I had PPI, but they say I need to provide the name of the PPI company. How can I find this out? Thanks.

I am confused.
If Bank of Ireland sold the product then they would know who the PPI company is. However, it wouldn't matter as BoI have the liability as seller. However, if they dont know who the company is then they wouldnt likely be the seller and therefore have no liability for the sale.
If they dont know who the insurer is then its hard to see how they can admit to any mis-sale.
Perhaps they can find no record of the policy and want to see if it is one of theirs by asking you to supply details.How can I find this out?

As I recall, Bank of Ireland sold through brokers - so they may simply know of the policy's existence for some reason although they did not sell it.0
