I am looking to replace my CD player with a DVD player. I would like a player that has video/audio output through HDMI to TV, and also audio output to hifi amp that has two phono connectors (for left and right channels). It would be good to have a USB input/output and for the player to be ale to recognise MP3. DVIX
Can anyone advise on such a player?

There are many players that can do what you are after. I have had a toshiba in the past and that also up scaled as well.
Easiest thing is go onto amazon and search DVD Hdmi USB
You can read the reviews.

I'm probably stating the obvious, but bear in mind that the audio from the DVD player's phono outputs is unlikely to be synchronised with the TV picture fed via HDMI.0

What I was thinking was that video and sound from a DVD to a tv via HDMI and audio from a CD to a Hifi amp via stereo phono output.
Not interested in watch a DVD with sound via HIFI amp. Not really interested in have sixteen appliances powered up just to watch a film. Having DVD watching is simply a bonus in replacing an old CD player.main stream media is a propaganda machine for the establishment.0
