Hope someone can help,i have a contract for a water cooler from last year, the contract was for 12 months,i have spoken with them today and they now inform me that I had to give notice at the 9 month stage to end the contract after 12 months so as this expired 3 weeks ago they say I now have to keep it for a further 15 months, im sure this sounds illegal and I am going to fight them over it.
Any help would be welcome

If that is what the contract (which you agreed to at the start) then it's enforceable. First thing is to check the original contract to see what you signed up for.0

As above, it's a b2b contract, so it will be down to what's in the contract, not trading regulations.

Even in the much more protected area of B2C contract, rolling contracts are perfectly legal. Look at 90% of gyms and you'll find they do rolling contracts with a minimum 12 month term.
As others have said, B2B is even less protected by law as businesses are considered big enough and ugly enough to defend their own rights without a nanny state to protect them from themselves.
Read your own contract again, as you presumably did before signing it last time, and check in it what the terms are for cancellation and make sure you follow them. You can also check to see if any of the obligations of the supplier havent been fulfilled to see if you have any leverage on them to negotiate an early out0
