Is there anyway to stop sales rep coming to my door?
Hi
Is there any way that I can get the cold callers to stop coming to my door and asking me to change providers?
I have a sign on the front door which says "no uninvited callers, we do not buy items at the door", this sign is always ignored, when I point it out I am invariably told that they are not selling anything (yeah right!), I made a sign which said "no univited callers" but again this was ignored, we must get at least 4or5 of these visits a week
I know that most companies outsource this sales work to many agencies and finding out these agencies is impossible as they also just say that they are visiitng from BG/Powergen?Npower etc but is there any central way that these visits can be stopped?
Thanks
Jim

Tell them that in order to 'earn' your time, they have to let you talk about your religion first (invent one, and don't let yourself be sidetracked).0

I have the same problem and have a big scrawled sign that I stick up over the existing laminated "no cold-calling or religious groups please" sign at peak knocking-up  times saying "Baby sleeping. Do not knock UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES".
I don't have a baby but it's worked for a week so far. As long as you don't leave it out all the time- and be aware genuine callers/friends might go away as well (or think you've nicked a baby from somewhere!)
Aiming to pay off mortgage by my 30th birthday... £39438 to go!

Thats a good one, but they come at all times of the day and early evening as well, we do have a baby and its normally the way that they call when hes gone to sleep, will try this, ther should be a way to stop this though, something like the telephone preference service or the junkmail one?

I totally agree. And you do have a baby?! I think I'd have chucked a full nappy at a caller by now if I did have one!Aiming to pay off mortgage by my 30th birthday... £39438 to go!
